Following the tradition of mid-century modern solid wood chairs this design presents itself as a contemporary interpretation with unique character. Collection is marked by forms of gentle curvature that are composed in a rational way. Whether as a part of intimate dining room or a crowded restaurant setting it brings the feel of nature and softness to the table.
Working on this chair was a task of finding the right balance with subtle changes in curvature and details. Armrest version offered us more room for expression with the composition of connecting and intersecting geometries. We were striving for the design to be gentle and refined, visually silent. The chair that feels familiar.
In technical terms the design was optimised as it follows the mass production principles so the chairs within this family share most of the parts. Expert team from Klana worked together with us on material thickness reduction where possible in order for the chair to be best suited for industrial production and assembly, sturdy and lightweight.
